Thanks for another crappy Postseason A-Rod

So, today pretty much sucked.

The Yankees lost, and are now out of the Playoffs. No more Yankees till April. This makes me sad.
 
The Yankees were outscored 25-16 over the 4 games, and Cleveland players had their best at-bats with runners on & 2 out in what felt like every inning. A-Rod once again failed to come up big in the Postseason. He hit a solo homerun in Game 4, which was his first RBI in the Playoffs since Game 3 of the 2004 ALCS. He is no doubt the AL MVP for the season, with an insane 54 homers, but the regular season doesnt mean much when you can’t perform in October, especially in New York.

Joe Torre’s most likely gone as coach, which probably means free agents Jorge Posada, Mariano Rivera, & Andy Pettite might be gone as well. A-Rod will probably try to opt-out of his contract, but honestly who besides the Yankees has the money to pay A-Rods insane contract? ($225,000,000, the highest paid athlete in history)
I didn’t know Clevelands pitching was so dominate, but now I do. The one-two punch of Sabathia & Carmona are a couple pitchers you don’t want to see pitching against your team.
I just hope they can go into the ALCS and beat the crap out of the Red Sox. I don’t think I could deal with them going to another World Series.

 Over in the NL, the NLDS is set with the Rockies playing the Diamondbacks. I don’t think anyone saw that one coming. I was pretty upset that the Cubs didn’t win. Those poor fans havent seen a World Series win from them in 99 years. It’s because they’re cursed…of course.

So, even though the Yankees are out of the Playoffs, I’m still gonna watch. I’m hoping for a Rockies – Indians World Series, and I hope the little known Rockies can pull off a win.

I will soon be going into Baseball Withdrawl, so I’m going to have to find something else to hold me over till Spring Training.
