Vectors

Last week in class, we talked a little bit about vectors, and someone asked if you could turn a .jpeg into a vector.
I’ve been into Photoshop for a few years now, and one thing that I’ve always thought was really cool was vectors. I attempted one over the summer, and after many hours this is what I ended up with:

I started out with just a picture of me

I used an effect in Photoshop to make the colors stand out more, and then I basically just traced every color that stood out.
Then pen tool is kind of hard to master and I’m still not the best at using it, but it’s the primary tool I used in making my vector.

I had tons and tons of layers, more than I had ever had in a Photoshop project.
 

It took a few nights, and a lot of hours of work, but I think for my first try it’s pretty good.
